Live the high life in some of the most rustic hill towns of the Luberon region with this full day excursion. You’ll pass through the quaint village of Lourmarin and take a stroll through a lively weekly market. You will also visit the villages of Gordes, Oppede-le-Vieux and Menerbes, and make a stop at Fontaine de Vaucluse. To begin your scenic tour you will be driven through the village of Lourmarin. Then head to either Roussillon (Thursday tour) or L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Sunday tour) to enjoy a walk through a market offering traditional and local fresh produce. It is well known how exceptional French cheese in and you are sure to be able to find some fine examples in either location. Then you head to Gordes for a short photo stop, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France and to Oppede-le-Vieux, a village carved into the rock and whose authenticity has attracted artists and writers for decades. Also on the agenda is a visit to Menerbes, a fortress village that was the setting of a brutal siege lasting more than five years during the 16th century religious wars.
